so artsy.......

I decided to continue the artsiness that the day at the herb festival had inspired and started work on multiple art projects I have going on right now. My partner in crime as always, Jill, provided the entertainment and also painted multiple creations herself.

Herb Festival 09

SO much fun. I was in heaven attending the annual Herb Festivel in Sand Springs the sister city to Sapulpa. We got our vegetable plants for this year, as well as many more herbs to add to our herb garden, and are going to try growing lavender for the first time. I also made friends with other jewelry makers and got hooked up with a little community of artisans there. Possibly best of all we ate amazing Greek food and drank ice cold root beer. What a way to spend your Saturday.

Easter..a little late, I realize.

Our family friends, the Plinsky's, came over and we had quite the fun-filled day. Delicious ham and all the good southern fixins'. As well as some pretty tasty desserts, if I do say so myself. The children then had a rousing egg hunt and the adults had just as much fun hiding the HUNDREDS of eggs inside because it was a stormy, yucky day outside. I love holidays and childrens' joy in the little things make it so much better. Whenever Mia would find an egg she would literally squeal and scream with delight and she did that over every single egg she found, which was a lot. Her joy was contagious to say the least!

Prom 2009

Girls from my bible study were going to prom this weekend and I was in charge of hair, makeup, accessories, and shoes. It was fun and took me back to all of those events and nights in high school. Dances, proms, and high school are a big deal in this little town and I was just as into it as everyone else is now in my own day, ok probably more than others were. Here are fun pics from the Hemphill's ranch where we spent the day beautifying.

Really? Snow? Really.

Yes the 28th of March, after I had already posted pictures of Spring, it snowed! Not a little but a lot. We had 10 inches of snow at my house! That is A LOT for Oklahoma. It was the only true snowstorm we got all year, we had way too many ice storms which are very different and way worse, but no snow until apparently we thought there were no more chances for it. Oklahoma is crazy and I am sick of cold weather, but the snow was beautiful and it was fun for us since it is so rare to have a true snow storm!
